The colour of the Chateau Pipeau is dark and opaque. To the nose there are aromas of black currant, spice, blackberry, cedar, melted black licorice, and vanilla. To the taste this wine holds down with a weight behind it and strong tannins, rustic black currant, extract of blackberry, pencil lead. This is a wine which is great after being left for a couple of years to develop and when the time comes will be a real pleasure to drink!
